Nubra Valley is one of the must visit places in Ladakh and is situated at about 120 kms from Leh. Popularly known as the ‘Orchard of Ladakh‘ or Ldumra (‘Valley of Flowers’). Diskit is the headquarter of Nubra and also the main commercial hub.
You can find many accommodation options in Diskit and also the regular shops. The main attraction though is the beautiful Diskit Gompa perched high up on a mountain top.
About 10 kms from Diskit lies the pretty and quaint village of Hunder.
This is a place where you can see double backed camels just grazing by the beautiful Shyok river side . Its almost like a page out of a beautiful picture book. This is an ideal place for taking pictures and just ambling.
This is the beautiful and scenic village of Nubra valley that is famed for its sulphur rich hot springs.
Locals here believe that a dip into this spring can cure various ailments. This village is also the place where you can find various Tibetian and Kashmiri artifacts.

There are various guesthouses and some hotels in mid-budget range in Diskit. The guesthouses also provide luxury and budget tents for camping right in the valley.
The nearest Domestic Airport is at Leh, nearest Railway Station is Leh Railway Station which is connected to the major cities of Jammu and Kashmir.
