Marari Beach is the cleanest sandy beach in the whole of Kerala. Located a little away from Alleppey or Alappuzha this is an ideal destination for people who want to experience serene beaches with stunning sunsets. Its a quite and placid beach in Mararikulam, a small and sleepy fisherman’s village.

There is nothing much to do here except unwind and relax while watching the changing moods of the sea with miles of pristine sandy beaches and swaying palm trees. For the adventure lovers there is the option of surfing, para sailing and water skiing in the calm waters of Arabian sea.
There are few excellent day trips that you can plan while in Marari. These include the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, or a day tour of the Kerala backwater canals of Kumarakom.
Just 10 kilometers away from Marari beach is the picturesque Vembanad Lake where you can take a thrilling speed boat ride or just sit on a boat and try your hand at fishing. You can also plan a bicycle tour to the villages nearby and have a look at how people make hand spun coir and shop for the local art and craft at the village markets.

The best time to visit Marari Beach is from late December to March. In June and July and October – November this place receives heavy rains.

The nearest airports are at Kochi (55kms) and Trivandrum International Airport (167kms). The nearest railhead is at Alleppy (16kms). Marari beach is well connected by roads from Kochi, Trivandrum , Coimbatore and other major cities of Kerala.
