Taj Mahotsav is the annual cultural extravaganza held in the city of Taj Mahal, Agra. It is  one of the most splendid and celebrated events of India. This spectacular carnival is organized by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism and  is a 10 day festival that highlights the cultural heritage of the country as a whole. Art, craft, music, dance and food are celebrated most wonderfully here.

This year the Taj Mahotsav dates are from 18th February to 27th February 2016.

The Vibrancy of Taj Mahotsav Agra

Since almost more than two decades, Taj Mahotsav has preserved its splendour. The genesis of this festival was in the year 1992 and the present year would be its 25th year and would lot more pompous this year. Tourists and artists from all over India and the world wold grace the festival. It will be a perfect blend of arts and crafts, culture, food, fun and frolic.

Art and Craft

If you value creativity, Taj Mahotsav can be the most amazing experience for you. This year 400 veteran craftsmen from various states of India would showcase their skills and artworks. Reaching Taj Mahotsav

Kheria Airport here is also a military base and a seasonal commercial airport connected only by Air India flights from New Delhi. Kheria airport is 13 kilometres  from Agra city. Agra is well connected by trains from Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai and many other cities in India. Agra is  connected by bus to cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, Lucknow and Kanpur. State Transport and Luxury buses ply on daily basis.

Entry Fee

Entry tickets for Taj Mahotsav are available from the ticket counter at the entry gates. Entry for kids till 5 years is free, 5-12 years is INR 10 and adults need to pay INR 50 for entry.  For a group of 50 students in school uniform an amount of  Rs.500 is charged in which two teachers get free entry.
