The Sun Temple, Modhera in Gujarat, although in ruins, is one of the finest examples of ancient Indian architecture. The stunning carvings of this temple depict scenes from Mahabharata and Ramayana and enhances its splendor even more.

Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great pomp in Gujarat. Once the celebrations ends, its time for the spectacular Modhera Dance Festival at The Sun Temple . It is also known as Uttarardh Mahotsav. Art, music and dance are celebrated unanimously during the three days of this festival.

Reaching Modhera
