North India

1. Manali- Ladakh Route

This route is termed as the top among 10 bike routes across the globe. It starts at Manali and traverses through Khardung La Pass. Later it passes through Nubra valley and kisses Zanskar valley before emerging on the opposite site of Karakoram in Kashmir valley. It is dotted with monasteries and pristine lakes and the most breathtaking views.

2. Spiti Valley Bike Route

This is a very beautiful stretch in India and crosses lovely villages such as Pin, Tabo and Kaza. Spiti valley is lush, picturesque and thrilling  and all adventure lovers look forward to it. There are apple and apricot orchards set amidst snowcapped peaks that makes is an experience hard to forget.

West India

3. Rann of Kutch

It bears an uncanny resemblance to Wastelands of Sub-Sahara. It gives a wonderful experience to adventure lovers. There is no speed limit here and so the ride becomes all the more special.  Riding on salt dessert should surely be experienced once by bikers.

South India

This is a  very exciting coastal route which cuts 3 states that start in Maharashtra and end up in Kerala via Karnataka. When it crosses Goa and Trivandrum, it looks similar to Route 101 in the US owing to sizzling coastline and neat roads. This is best to visit in monsoons.

5. East Coast Road

It is a great experience to ride through Rameshwaram’s Adam’s bridge, Velankani’s churches, Pondicherry’s French Quarters, Mahabalipuram’s shore temples and Pulicat Lake’s Flamingoes.  It ends at Tuticorin, India’s southernmost tip. It provides a rich and enthralling experience to bikers.

East India

The Northeast is a paradise that waits to be explored by the boundless bikers . One of its most popular routes is inpicturesque cool zones of Arunachal Pradesh. The roads a bit more challenging than the above mentioned routes, but the rich tribal culture and snowy sights as you pass through more than make up for it.

7. Guwahati – East Khasi Hills

When you are in North East India and you are there for biking this is one riute no one should miss. Starting off from the gateway to the Northeast – Guwahati – you make your way to the charming capital of Meghalaya- Shillong and ride on to  one of the rainiest and most scenic places on earth- Chepparunji and then to the hillier terrains of East Khasi Hills. Along the route you can appreciate some incredible sights like the cleanest village in India, living root bridges and energizing waterfalls.

8. Siliguri – Yuksome

 

Riding through Darjeeling and Sikkim can be a thrilling experience with most awesome scenes, Don’t miss out on riding through KalimpongPelling and Gangtok are also great stops with lots to explore.
